      <image:title>About - Editing - minnesota monthly</image:title>
<image:caption>I assigned and edited each issue of Minnesota Monthly. It was a great honor to work with the excellent creative director Tonya Sutfin and associate editor Erik Tormoen. We were proud to showcase the work of some of the area’s best writers, photographers, and illustrators. One of my favorite pieces to curate and assign was the Champions of Change feature in the Jan/Feb 2021 issue. We leaned into the changes happening around us during the pandemic and social unrest in the Twin Cities. Other annual editorial packages I edited include Top Doctors, Best Restaurants, and Best of Minnesota.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About - Editing - gomn / bring me the news</image:title>
<image:caption>This ever-evolving job began with work building up the Go 96.3 website, and eventually encompassed the purchase of Bring Me The News, the addition of Go 95.3, and a brief fusion of brands known as GoMN. I wrote, edited, and strategized with an amazing group of creative folks. The team won a couple of awards from the Minnesota chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists for coverage of Marisa Bocanegra. I put out two guides (State Fair Guide, Winter Guide) as a collaboration with Mecca Bos and Caroline Royce.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About - Editing - Village voice Media</image:title>
<image:caption>The five years I worked for these two Village Voice Media titles was an incredible period of growth for me as an editor. I took on more-complex assignments, and worked hard to make each publication’s music blog a can’t-miss destination for music news. At City Pages, I organized the annual Picked 2 Click poll and compiled the Year in Music issue. I will link to my City Pages work here when the archive is back online.</image:caption>
